Production at that facility will change to two new models, which it says will save 3,500 US jobs. The planned $1.6 billion plant in Mexico was to be developed in San Luis Potosi, yet Ford said it would now put some of that investment in Flat Rock, which would create 700 new jobs constructing electric cars. Mexico&#8217;s economy service said it lamented Ford&#8217;s choice, including that it had affirmations that the US auto firm would pay the condition of San Luis Potosi for any costs brought about from the cancellation.<br \/>\nEarlier on Tuesday, Mr. Trump criticized General Motors on Twitter for making cars built in Mexico and made available tax-free in the US.
